Weekend Auto Repair Skill Camps for Teens in Chesapeake Public Libraries

Chesapeake Public Libraries are excited to announce their upcoming Weekend Auto Repair Skill Camps designed specifically for teenagers. These workshops aim to equip young people with practical automotive skills, fostering independence and confidence.

What Are the Auto Repair Skill Camps?

The camps are hands-on sessions held over the weekends at various Chesapeake Public Library branches. They focus on basic auto maintenance, safety procedures, and simple repairs. Participants will learn how to change a tire, check oil levels, and understand engine components.

Who Can Join?

The camps are open to teenagers aged 13 to 18. No prior experience is necessary—just an interest in cars and a willingness to learn. Participants should bring a positive attitude and wear comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on activities.

  • Saturday, July 15: Central Library, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Sunday, July 23: Southside Library, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 5: Northwest Library, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
